Managing Players

Player management is but one aspect of guild management.

It isn’t easy.

In your adventures, you’re going to be working with a variety of different people and personalities. Some will be relaxed and easy going. Others will feel as if they need a extra care. People skills are a necessity and while it’s okay to devise rules and stick to them, you have to understand that there are times where it pays to be flexible. Your guildies are people, too.

While the process in managing your players can be frustrating, the responsibilities fall upon you and your officers to help keep your guild machine well oiled and running. Your guild is like a plant. You have to water it and cultivate it in order for it to grow. At the same time, you need to recognize the bugs and threats that could hamper your guild’s growth and know when to cut those out.
