5 Year Blogiversary (And beta keys for you)

EDIT: Sorry folks, keys have been distributed out. Thanks for your feedback and thoughts!

Technically, the 5th year anniversary of the blog is tomorrow. In previous years, I’ve always wanted to offer something back to the community as a way of saying thanks for sticking around and your support. This year, I actually do have something I can hand out.

10 Mists of Pandaria beta keys

I know it’s late, but that’s why I wanted to get this post out a little early to maximize time. If you’re interested in a key, drop me a comment here or email me (Contact form at the top).

Tell me what part of the expansion you’re looking forward to and what topics you’re interested in reading about from Joe or myself.

Do me a favour, and double check your email. If you’re on Twitter, put your username there so I can reach you that way as well. I’ll pick get in touch with winners sometime tomorrow morning.

After you’re done with your response, I highly recommend you visit TwizzCast and give my buddy Twizz’s podcast a listen. A public thank you from me to him is in order as without him, I wouldn’t have any keys to give away.

Five years. That’s a long time. That’s 5 years of me keeping you occupied during your coffee breaks at work (or just your work in general). I feel bad for slowing down your productivity :(. But really, thank you to everyone for reading the posts here, sharing your perspectives, and being awesome in general.

I deem you all honorary bros.

P.S., If you haven’t stopped by my Youtube channel recently, I’ve uploaded 3 MoP raiding videos from Mogu’shan Vaults in LFR if you’re interested in seeing what you’ll be up against. You’ll be able to see examples of me standing in bad stuff while wrestling with text messages from one of my Resto Druids Disappointed smile. Not intentional, I promise.

  1. Hey Matticus, long time no read! Since MoP is coming out, I felt the need to get back on the WoW wagon, so here I am, naturally! Five years… that *is* a long assed time. It’ll be my 5 years in November, too. Yours was one of the first blogs I read. In fact, I’m pretty sure I remember a blogger blog to begin with? How time flies! Grats on the blogversary! /hug

  2. Congrats on 5 years, probably not many warcraft bloggers can say they’ve been around that long!Looking forward to figuring out the new mechanics mostly… the influx of change in every expansion is generally the most exciting part for me. Running heroics and trying out the scenarios, seeing the new raids, eventually get into some PVP (new battlegrounds?) and arena, etc.As far as what I’m interested in… pretty much anything healer related. I liked the interview with Derevka, maybe do the same thing with bloggers from the other classes?A beta key would be awesome, I didn’t pick up the annual pass and haven’t found another way to grab one…Twitter handle is @dtcrimm.

  3. Congratulations on the 5 years! I would like to know more about what you think of the new talent system in MoP! Also, if you have some info on the upcoming nerfs and buffs on the warrior class, then that would be awesome x)THX!

  4. Hello! Major congratulations on the 5 years… O.O I could never EVER go that long, that’s for sure. Haha. Anyways, I’ve been wanting to get in the beta for so long, ever since I saw the first cinematic I fell in love. And the anticipation just grew as I saw the female pandaren dance… 😀 But, honestly, what I’ve looking forward to in Mists of Pandaria is really the Player versus Player. I’m going to make a female pandaren monk, healer, because they are just that awesome. 🙂 What I’ve really enjoyed reading about, is your priest stuff. Seeing as my main is a priest, and so too was my first ever character, everything was very useful to me. So, I thank you. For all the help, for all the entertainment, and, most of all, for blogging! (p.s. 5 years isn’t that long to give out a reward ^^)

  5. Congrats on the five years blogging.  Time flies when you’re getting your geek on.  I’m looking forward the most to seeing the new raids and learning the changes for each class and how those will impact our raid comps and strats.  I’m also super pumped about the pet battles so I can whoop Auracen’s ass while drinking massive amounts of home brewed beer and patron.  The monk class looks pretty sweet too so I’m excited to roll one of those.  Last but not least, PANDAS.
I guess one thing I’d like to see you guys talk about is the pet battles and give me some tips on how to crush Auracen :).  That and all the healing changes of course.  It’s always interesting to see which classes out perform others at the beginning of an expansion and how the community reacts to it.

  6. Congrats on the 5th year anniversary. Not many bloggers are posting right now as most are taking a break. I sub to your newsletter. I want to see on the beta if my human rogue can ride a kodo lol. And see the lfr changes are better. Watching youtube videos can be boring if you dont try it in game. I would love a key to see my TAUREN PALADIN kick alliance ass, Twitter handle: @murtris

  8. Congrats on 5 Years.  Maybe as a special gift I’ll finally get around to writing more “Tough Call” columns and give you a day off once in a while. The thing I’m most looking forward to in MoP is the day Conquest recruits another fantastic healing priest to compliment me, and we get to read posts on WoM about what it’s like to try to get back off the bench from Matt’s prespective.
