I just got back from a holiday in Japan and security at airports is incredibly tight now. If you’re taking any liquids on board, make sure the bottles are very small! Also, if you bring your laptop be prepared to take it out of your bag a lot and prove it works to people. Real hassle…

Keeva: Yes, they still inspect shoes, but they run them through the metal detector. While you want to wear your bigger shoes rather than packing them, I’d suggest leaving complicated boots at home, or be ready to spend the time taking them off and putting them back on at airport security.

You had to sit down and take off your shoes, so they could look inside.

Its a 1 quart ziploc bag. just fyi. If you take a gallon bag, you are going to have issues.
