Nice guide :)

I just got back from a holiday in Japan and security at airports is incredibly tight now. If you're taking any liquids on board, make sure the bottles are very small! Also, if you bring your laptop be prepared to take it out of your bag a lot and prove it works to people. Real hassle...

If you're going to be bringing a costume, another MUST is safety pins.

If you can't fix it with duct tape and safety pins, it's probably not fixable without major equipment. :D

There are a ton of convenience stores in the Anaheim "resort" area. Prices are undoubtedly marked up, but good for whatever you might need while you're there.

Bus fare is $1.25 one way, or $4 for a day pass. The bus that runs up and down Harbor Blvd is line 43. It runs very frequently--I'd recommend grabbing a schedule off of OCTA.net, especially if you can time your trips up and down Harbor to the bus schedule.

So when are you planning to come to the Bay Area? So close and yet so far away. Have fun at Blizzcon.

Thromanan: Thanks, I thought I'd fixed that in the version that went live. <3

Keeva: Yes, they still inspect shoes, but they run them through the metal detector. While you want to wear your bigger shoes rather than packing them, I'd suggest leaving complicated boots at home, or be ready to spend the time taking them off and putting them back on at airport security.

Last time I travelled to the US, there was someone in the airport who would pick random travellers and inspect their shoes.

You had to sit down and take off your shoes, so they could look inside.

I told the poor girl that she deserved a big raise. Hundreds of pairs of stinky travelling shoes FTL!
