I got a Tree of life and i love healing with it, I left my priest fort it cause i love heal over time. Now my spec is all focused on 2 spell: Regrowth and Rejuvenation.
Important point for me is that there is not much way to avoid spending alot of talent in those spell, comparing to Lifebloom that can be dodged from the Talent Tree.
Regrowth with Glyph and same with Rejuvenation, and the Talent that give them more time, the casting speed reduced in ballance. It really make a really nice Spec and glyphs setup for those 2 spell only. i wish lifebloom was Heal Over time without bloom effect. Id use it alond with Rejuvenation then. I feel like wasting the spell when it bloom at full health.

@Malf: This article doesn't address PvP specifically. I try to write about what I know, and I don't play arena in any bracket. I've thought about doing so with a warrior partner for the expansion, but all I know at this point is what I've read.

I will say, though, that I am an advocate of separating PvP and PvE spells and abilities. I'm not sure why spells can't be altered for a PvP context--and, in fact some are. As far as I know, for instance, you can't cast Curse of Doom on a player. I think that the devs should separate the tracks more to achieve balance in each area of gameplay. I'm not a fan of yoking them together, as the solution doesn't usually end up being ideal for either context.

Intressting post...

But i mean, all i see is ppl talikng about pve this pve that...its a fair concern.
But have yo stoped for a bit and think about pvp implication of healing spells or for that matter any other skill?

I dont tell me i dont give a crap about pvp, i only do pve... i mean can u stop for a while a look at the big picture as Dev's have to look?

The game isnt only pve, its pvp also and balance has to be made across both sides of the game.

Peace.

Find it interesting that you have a lock. I have not played my tree, Faress at Thunderhorn since I read about the nerf. I have been leveling my lock. Basically, I am contemplating balance or retirement for my Druid. I am just to despaired to think that a tree is not a worthy healer anymore.

@ Bonkers: I feel the same way about the GCD. I just feel like we should be casting something at every opportunity. Once you know your raid well, it's fairly easy to make a good guess at who will probably need some extra healing by the time 7 sec is up.

@Ausry: I would absolutely love seeing something like this, but the developers have consistently resisted making any changes that directly address PvP issues. For some reason, they don't want to differentiate between PvP and PvE for the mechanics of a spell. I'm not sure if a glyph would seem agreeable to them as a workaround or no.

My suggestion -- and I've (and others) put this forward on the beta forums is a glyph that helps balance lifebloom between PvP and PvE. For example, "Glyph of Lifestream: Major Glyph. Your Lifebloom heals for 500 more over its duration, but no longer heals when it completes its duration or is dispelled." Who ever uses the bloom effect in PvE?

I haven't been keeping detailed numbers, but I have healed a few pugs in beta trying my normal lifebloom stacking as well as avoiding lifebloom completely (so I can L2P with the rest of the tricks bag somewhat).

Lifebloom only worked just fine for trash, but I did throw in rejuv plus some swiftmends on boss fights. NB: I outgeared most of the instances I tried, so this might not mean much.

I felt dirty healing an instance without the homey comfort of lifebloom. No one died, but having to wait longer than the GCD between most casts has a strange feeling.

One of my favorite features of raid healing with lifebloom is being able to make cheap guesses as to where a heal *might* help in the next few seconds, like spending an open GCD throwing LB on a warlock, shadow priest, or eager fury warrior.

p.s. thanks for the compliment, the whole CD healing core are good folk!
