Be careful of people who invite you to their guild/group without even asking first if you’re interested. Yeah, it’s a guild/group, but it might be someone trying to get you to play on their private server and violate TOS or buy gold from their website and violate TOS, but you’re new, so you don’t know any better.

Don’t just stand around and beg for money for your bags/gear/training. Odds are that most people who have some, earned it.. you can do it too.

You don’t need to buy new gear at the AH every level.

Just because it’s blue, doesn’t mean it’s better.

28) Life is a journey. Don’t be so focused on endgame your first time through. You’ll regret not enjoying the lore and the locale. Travel sucks at low level. Take your time and enjoy it. There is no reason you need to be at 70 tomorrow.

29) The game will always be here. You don’t need to stay up another hour to get another bar or complete another quest. Go to sleep and finish it later.

30) People will not always be here, they come and go. Don’t be so focused on the game that you ignore people you meet in game, and people in your life outside of the game.

31) Plan your expenditures. Being broke is okay if you don’t want to buy a mount. There is nothing stopping you from walking all the way to 70 (except time).

32) Time is important to everyone. Figure out the fasted way to get where you want to go. Don’t spend an hour walking back to the inn when you could hearth. It helps to plan out routes for quests so you don’t have to go back and forth. Addons like questhelper are useful for this. At some point there is a balance between having fun and being time efficient.

33) Don’t forget druid’s can go to moonglade at any point. As a druid you could be 5 minutes from feralas or Winterspring or Darn no matter what.

My first 70 was a holy priest. Tailor/Enchanter. And she had her epic flyer long, long before 2.4 dailies came out. (And supported a very full, end-game raiding schedule, with full consumables.) She’s still my only 70 on that server.

You’re as broke as you wanna be.

Don’t waste 3 hours on a quest chain to get some awesome reward when you could have gotten 3 levels in the same amount of time and outgrown that piece of gear.

All your friends are 70. You won’t get to play with them until you’re there as well.

3) If you’re a clothie–ALWAYS take tailoring. Being Karazhan ready the day you hit 70 is a gift! My tank spent 3 weeks after dinging 70 getting his pre-kara gear.

4) Level your professions as you go. Don’t wait til you’re 70 to pick Peacebloom.

21. If you decide to chose crafting as your profession understand who your audience. You will never sell to people like yourself. Instead carter toward the level 70s that spend lavishly for their alts.
22. There is more than one way to go toward the end. Raiding is not the only way to see the end game.
23. Levels doesn’t equal expertise. Don’t be assume someone’s background just because they are a few levels lower than you. You are probably looking at an Epic 70’s alt.
24. The game will never end. Take your time and appreciate the process.
25. The race is long, at the end it is only with yourself.
